Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Jet [ tickets ] made a splash with its debut album, 2003's "Get Born," which the band recorded at Los Angeles' Sunset Sound Studios with producer Dave Sardy (Marilyn Manson, Dandy Warhols). The set spawned the hit singles "Are You Gonna Be My Girl," which turned up in the video games "Madden NFL 2004," "Guitar Hero: On Tour" and "Rock Band," as well as in the 2006 animated film "Flushed Away" and 2008's "What Happens in Vegas."

The band's sophomore set, "Shine On," followed in 2006 and peaked at No. 16 on the US album chart.

"Shaka Rock," the hard-rocking quartet's third and latest album, surfaced in August of 2009. The set features the singles "K.I.A. (Killed in Action" and "She's a Genius."
