John Fogerty tabs Willie Nelson to open summer dates
Rocker John Fogerty has announced dates for a summer US tour, with Willie Nelson along for the ride as a special guest.
Nelson and his band will open the shows currently on the schedule, while, according to the tour's organizers, Fogerty may add some solo shows to the itinerary, which kicks off July 22 in West Palm Beach, FL.
The excursion will flow roughly from south to north, with Fogerty scheduling the first part of the outing for the Southeast before heading into New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The tour then edges into the heart of the country and into the Southwest before winding down.
Ticket on-sale dates for the shows have yet to be announced. Details on when the public will be able to purchase tickets--including pre-sale tickets--will be made available on Fogerty's website.
Fogerty has set a June 13 release date for his new concert DVD, "The Long Road Home--In Concert." The video was captured during Fogerty's 2005 tour in support of his 2004 album "Deja Vu All Over Again."
