Proof, whose real name was Deshaun Holton, was shot and killed last Tuesday (4/11) at a nightclub in Detroit. Mario Etheridge, 28, a bouncer at the club who allegedly shot the rapper, was arraigned Saturday (4/15) and pleaded not guilty to two firearm-related felonies, but was not charged with killing Holton.

Witnesses and Etheridge's lawyer have reportedly claimed that Etheridge shot Deshaun after Deshaun shot Keith Bender Jr.--Etheridge's cousin--in the head. Bender was still hospitalized and in critical condition as of Saturday (4/16), according to the Free Press.

Neil Young [ tickets ] has announced plans to release a new album titled "Living with War," which he recorded during the past month with a "power trio with trumpet and 100 voices," according to a message that he posted at his website. "I think it is a metal version of Phil Ochs and Bob Dylan," he added. "Metal folk protest?"

The 11-song set reportedly includes a cut titled "Let's Impeach the President."

Korn [ tickets ], which founded the multi-act, rap-and-metal themed Family Values Tour in 1998, is gearing up for a new incarnation of the outing, according to an email that the group sent to its fans on Monday (4/17). No further information was revealed, but more details will be "coming soon," according to the email.

Organizers have announced plans for the second annual MUSEXPO music showcase, will will take place in West Hollywood, CA, April 30-May 3. Over the course of those four nights, 29 of the "hottest emerging unsigned global talent will showcase at Key Club, The Roxy and The Viper Room for leading executives in A&R, film, publishing, radio, television, music supervision and media from around the world," according to a press release.
