Tickets for all of the tour dates will hit the box office April 22, according to tour-promoter Live Nation, and a select number of premium tickets for each show will be reserved for auction through Ticketmaster.com, with $10 from every ticket sold through auction benefiting Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer initiatives. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)

In addition to material from "Breakaway" and Clarkson's 2003 debut, "Thankful," fans who catch Clarkson on her upcoming tour can expect to hear the singer road test some new material that she plans to record later this year. Her third album is scheduled for release in late 2006 or early 2007, according to a press release.

Released in November of 2004, "Breakaway" earned Clarkson a Grammy award for Best Pop Vocal Album at this year's awards ceremony. She also picked up a trophy in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category for the album's hit single, "Since U Been Gone."

"Breakaway" has sold more than 5 million copies in the US and has been riding in the Top 30 on The Billboard 200 album chart for 71 weeks--61 of which have seen the album in the Top 20, according to Live Nation.

In 2002, Clarkson rose to fame as the winner of Fox-TV's "American Idol" talent search. Later that year, she scored her first No. 1 hit with the song "A Moment Like This," which was 2002's top-selling single.
