Toby Keith
"White Trash with Money"
(Show Dog Nashville)

Keith's many critics are going to have a field day with the title of this album, which is his first on the cowboy crooner's own Show Dog label. Likewise, his fans are going to love the album's name. Few players in the country game are so equally revered and despised for celebrating their redneck roots as Keith.

The vocalist appears to be sticking with what works for him on this follow-up to 2005's "Honkytonk University." The album includes a number of up-tempo party anthems, including the cleverly titled "Get Drunk and Be Somebody," which should appeal to fans of such past hits as "A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action."

Built to Spill
"You in Reverse"
(Warner Bros.)

Built to Spill certainly made fans wait for this one: "You in Reverse" is the band's first studio offering since 2001's "Ancient Melodies From the Future." "You in Reverse" is the band's sixth record and its fourth since signing to Warner.

The band was scheduled to tour this spring to support the album, but that trek was postponed after frontman Doug Martsch underwent emergency surgery for a detached retina. The tour is currently scheduled to begin in June, and includes multi-night stops in such cities as San Francisco, Seattle and Los Angeles.

Daniel Powter
"Daniel Powter"
(Warner Bros.)

The climate is definitely right for this sensitive singer/songwriter to make a splash with his self-titled debut. The 25-year-old vocalist is a kindred spirit to the likes of David Gray and James Blunt (who is just about the hottest pop star on the planet this day).

The album was produced by Mitchell Froom, a man known for his work with Elvis Costello and Crowded House, and Powter's long-term collaborator Jeff Dawson. It features the smash hit "Bad Day."

LL Cool J
"Todd Smith"
(Def Jam)

LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith, has enlisted an all-star cast for his latest album. Recorded mostly in Miami and New York, LL's 12th album features (appropriately enough) 12 guest stars, including Mary J. Blige, Teairra Mari and Mary Mary.

The album contains the hit "Control Myself," a collaboration between the rapper and superstar Jennifer Lopez that was produced by Jermaine Dupri.

Calexico
"Garden Ruin"
(Quarterstick)

Calexico returns with its follow-up to 2003's highly regarded "Feast of Wire." The 10-year-old band, which takes it name from the California city near the border of Mexico, is known for incorporating a wide array of musical styles into its mix--including jazz, Portuguese fado and surf music. With this album, the band is said to add even more flavors to its sound, most notably bits of pop and rock.

Eagles of Death Metal
"Death by Sexy"
(Downtown)

Lead singer/mastermind Jesse “The Devil'' Hughes--the man behind the mustache--leads his crew in another batch of rock-and-roll dance party numbers. The album is a follow-up to 2004's likable "Peace Love Death Metal."

The band is just finishing up a tour supporting the Strokes and is scheduled to perform at the Coachella Valley Music Festival on April 29.
