Sheila E, Billy Squier, Richard Marx and Edgar Winter are among the artists who have signed on as members of the latest incarnation of former Beatle Ringo Starr 's All Starr Band, which is gearing up for a summer tour.
Also on board for the All Starr Summer Tour--which is Starr's ninth such outing--are Rod Argent (Zombies) and Starr's writing partner, Mark Hudson.
The collective will launch the run with a mid-June, two-night stand in Ontario, and is currently scheduled to make stops in 21 markets by the time things wrap up at New York City's Radio City Music Hall in late July. Details are included below.
The group will perform hits by each band member, as well as Beatles material, according to a press release.
Starr's most recent album is last year's "Choose Love," on which he is backed by his band The Roundheads (Hudson, Steve Dudas, Gary Burr and Jim Cox). Among the guests who appear on the set are Chrissie Hynde, Robert Randolph and Billy Preston.
