Taking Back Sunday gets 'Louder Now' on the road

Rockers Taking Back Sunday will be revving up the tour bus soon as they get ready to mount a spring tour behind their forthcoming album, "Louder Now."

The roadtrip gets underway at the end of March, and is so far scheduled to touch down at clubs and theaters in 22 cities by early May. Details are included below.

Tickets for all of the currently confirmed shows will go on sale to the general public on Feb. 25, according to tour promoter House of Blues. An advance presale will begin on Feb. 22 via the band's website. Additional information will be posted at the site.

"It's really exciting to go out and play our new songs in smaller venues," bassist Matt Rubano said in a statement. "We just played some shows in England and the response was intense. Our last tour in the US was incredible. We couldn't believe we were playing in arenas. As exciting as that was, we are just as excited to start off in a more intimate environment to kick off 'Louder Now.'"

"Louder Now" follows 2004's "Where You Want to Be," which debuted at No. 3 on The Billboard 200 album chart thanks to first-week sales of about 163,000 copies.

Taking Back Sunday--Rubano, lead vocalist Adam Lazarra, guitarist/vocalist Fred Mascherino, guitarist Eddie Reyes and drummer Mark O'Connell--broke through on the rock scene with its 2002 debut, "Tell All Your Friends."

"Tell All Your Friends" and "Where You Want to Be" are both certified gold, and have each sold about 700,000 copies, according to a press release.
