Canadian indie-poppers Wolf Parade will bring their act to the US in April as the band counts down to its upcoming Coachella appearance.
The Montreal foursome will open their 13-date run April 7 in Boston as they continue to support their 2005 debut album, "Apologies to the Queen Mary." After several shows in the Northeast, Wolf Parade will polish off a couple of dates in North Carolina before returning to Canadian soil for an April 19 show in Montreal.
An April 30 date at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival then beckons, as the band joins that event's mammoth lineup. A full list of Coachella performers can be found at the event's website.
"Apologies to the Queen Mary," the band's debut album, hit stores last September and followed quickly on the heels of a self-titled EP released in July. The band, which formed in 2002, quickly gained a word-of-mouth following after its frequent exposure on CBC radio, leading to its signing with Sub Pop in 2004.
Streaming versions of several Wold Parade cuts can be heard at the band's New Music Canada website.
