Korn locks in more venues for upcoming tour

Plans for Korn 's upcoming tour behind its latest album, "See You on the Other Side," continue to take shape, with venues now in place for most of the run.

The group, which initially unveiled dates and cities for the run, has now nailed down venues for all but two of the currently confirmed dates. Among the cities for which venues are now set are Jacksonville, FL; and Charlotte, NC. Tickets for shows in both cities will hit the box office Saturday (1/28). Details are included below.

Tickets for most of the tour's other stops are on sale now.

As previously reported, Korn will kick off the upcoming tour with a performance in its hometown of Bakersfield, CA, and subsequent shows are lined up through early April. Fellow rockers Mudvayne and 10 Years will occupy the tour's opening slots.

Released in December, "See You On the Other Side" is Korn's first album for Virgin Records, with whom the group signed a precedent-setting deal last year after parting with Epic Records. The band recently announced a three-way partnership with Virgin parent EMI and concert promoter Live Nation through which each party gets a piece of Korn's recording, publishing, touring, merchandising, sponsorship and other activities.

Korn frontman Jonathan Davis co-produced "See You on the Other Side" along with The Matrix and Atticus Ross. Fueled by the hit single "Twisted Transistor," the album has sold more than 1.5 million copies worldwide so far, and was recently certified platinum, signifying U.S. shipment of 1 million copies.
