Big Head Todd & The Monsters have added more dates to a U.S. tour that kicks off Thursday (1/12).
Since first announcing the trek last fall, the group has booked more than a dozen additional dates, to include Thursday's kick-off in Boulder, CO, as well as subsequent stops throughout the South and West. Details for the outing, which is currently scheduled to run through mid-March, are included below.
While in Boulder, the group will give an in-studio performance on Boulder/Denver-area radio station 97.3 KBCO. Set to take place Friday (1/13), the broadcast will also be available via the station's online audio stream. More information is available at BHTM's website.
The group will follow the winter roadtrip with its second annual Big Caribbean Cruise, a fan-oriented excursion that will feature a meet and greet with the band and a private concert for passengers. More information is available at the Big Caribbean Cruise website.
Big Head Todd & The Monsters' most recent studio set is "Crimes of Passion," which surfaced last February. The album follows 2003's "Riviera," which marked the group's first new studio release in five years.
In August of 2004, the band issued "Big Head Todd & The Monsters Live at the Fillmore," recorded during the group's March 19 and 20, 2004 shows at the famous San Francisco venue, and, last July, the group released exclusively via Apple's iTunes Music Store the cut "Blue Sky," which was billed as "the theme song of the Space Shuttle's much-anticipated return flight," according to a press release issued at the time.
