Kid Rock pencils in more winter shows

Detroit's Kid Rock , who ends his year-long respite from touring later this month, has added a stretch of Southern U.S. shows to his winter itinerary.

Among the new entries on the rocker's schedule are February stops in San Antonio, TX; Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando, FL; Pikeville, KY; Nashville, TN; and the Atlanta area. An April 8 gig at South Carolina's Heritage Music Festival is also planned.

The outing is highlighted by Kid Rock's Feb. 3-4 hometown engagement at Detroit's Joe Louis Arena.

A new live album dubbed "When I'm Dead ... Kid Rock Live" is being readied for release on Valentine's Day. Kid Rock's most recent release is his 2003 self-titled set, which features his cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love."

Joining Kid Rock on the road will be his longtime band, Twisted Brown Trucker: guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg.
