Toby Keith throws down more tour dates

Country rabble-rouser Toby Keith continues to map out the early-2006 itinerary for the "Big Throwdown II" tour, which is now scheduled to visit a dozen cities from the Mountain West to the Midwest and South.

The outing--which will also feature Joe Nichols , Danielle Peck and Scotty Emerick --is still set to launch Jan. 20 in Portland, OR.

Tickets for many shows are on sale now. Details about additional on-sales--as well as ticket pre-sales--will be announced in early January, according to Keith's website.

Keith continues to support "Honkytonk University," his first new studio album since 2004's quadruple-platinum "Shock'N Y'All." In the interim, he issued the double-platinum set "Greatest Hits 2" last fall.

Earlier this year, Keith took home the trophy for Music Video of the Year at the Country Music Association's award show. The CMA award was Keith's second, after being named Male Vocalist of the Year in 2001.
