Keith Urban begins plotting 2006 shows

Recently crowned CMA Entertainer of the Year Keith Urban , who is in the midst of a U.S. tour that wraps up next month, will return to the road early next year.

So far, only a handful of new shows have been confirmed, all of which take place in February. Among the dates is a Feb. 4 stop at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, at which Urban will play separate afternoon and evening sets. Tickets for all of the February concerts are on sale now.

Urban's winter 2006 shows will follow his in-progress fall trek, which winds down on the West Coast one month from now. Details are included in the itinerary below.

On Tuesday (11/15), Urban was on hand for the 39th annual CMA Awards, where he picked up his second consecutive Male Vocalist of the Year award, and landed his first Entertainer of the Year trophy; in 2001, he picked up the CMA Horizon Award, and is now the only country artist in CMA Awards history to score wins in all three of the aforementioned categories.

Urban continues to back his 2004 album, "Be Here," which hit triple-platinum status in September, marking U.S. shipment of 3 million copies. Also in September, Urban offered up "Livin' Right Now," a concert DVD that captures his 2004 two-night stand at Los Angeles' Wiltern Theater. The disc also features behind-the-scenes footage, including Urban's pre-show soundcheck and an interview with the singer.
