Funeral for a Friend to launch headlining tour

Welsh rockers Funeral for a Friend are set to begin their first headlining tour of North America next month, in support of their latest album, "Hours."

The band will play a Nov. 29 date in Montreal supporting My Chemical Romance before beginning their own headlining stint the following night in Ottawa, Ontario. The group will hit major cities on the East Coast and in the Midwest during the course of the three-week tour, which ends back in Canada for a Dec. 17 date in Toronto.

A trio of opening acts-- A Static Lullaby , Hopesfall and Lovehatehero --will support the band on most dates.

Working with producer Terry Date (Pantera, Soundgarden) to craft a followup to its 2003 debut, "Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation," Funeral for a Friend's second studio album, "Hours," was released in June of this year.

Funeral for a Friend recently supported Story of the Year on its U.S. tour, and earlier this year completed a stint on the Vans Warped Tour.
