Briefly: Slipknot, Andrea Bocelli, Ronald Isley, Z100 Jingle Ball

Slipknot has postponed or canceled several planned concerts due to the death of drummer Shawn "Clown" Crahan's father

Affected shows were set for Philadelphia (10/27-28), New York City (10/30-11/1) and Lewiston, ME (11/3).

The New York City and Lewiston shows have been canceled. The Philadelphia dates will be consolidated into a single Nov. 8 make-up show, which has led to the cancellation of a show planned for that date in Worcester, MA.

The tour is otherwise scheduled to resume on Friday (11/4) in Montreal. More information is available at the band's website.

Classical and pop singer Andrea Bocelli will tape a concert Dec. 9 and 10 at Nevada's Lake Las Vegas Resort for a PBS "Great Performances" TV special.

The concert will be performed on the resort's floating stage, which sits on its signature 320-acre lake.

According to a press release, Bocelli will perform music from his forthcoming album, which will feature standards including "Autumn Leaves" and "It's Impossible," and several guest artists are expected to join him on stage.

The special is due to air in March 2006.

A federal grand jury on Monday (10/31) convicted R&B singer Ronald Isley on tax evasion charges that could land him in prison for up to 26 years.

The Isley Brothers' member, who will be sentenced Jan. 9, was found guilty of evading the IRS by demanding cash payments for performances he played between 1997 and 2002, among other charges.
