
Jazz vocalist/pianist Shirley Horn , 71, died Thursday (10/20) at a Maryland nursing home after a long battle with diabetes, according to published reports.
Horn, whose influence can be heard in the work of currently popular singer/pianists like Norah Jones and Diana Krall, picked up nine Grammy nominations in the last 10 years. Her 1998 album, "I Remember Miles," won that year's award for best jazz vocal performance.
Lenny Kravitz is set to release a collectors' edition of his "Greatest Hits" album on Nov. 8. The package will include a DVD containing the music videos for "Are You Gonna Go My Way" and "Fly Away," among other songs.
An arrest warrant reportedly has been issued for Victor Willis, the original "policeman" in disco group The Village People , after he failed to show up in court to answer to gun and drug charges.
Willis was arrested in July after police allegedly found crack cocaine and a gun in his car.
