Gov't Mule kicks out second leg of fall tour

Veteran jam band Gov't Mule has rolled out a slew of dates that comprise the second leg of its previously announced fall tour, the first leg of which kicks off next week.

The band's second round of fall shows will launch Nov. 10 in Tampa, and dates are scattered throughout the South and Northeast through early December. Rose Hill Drive and Beltthemeans will take turns in the opening slot on a handful of dates.

The newly announced second leg follows the group's October roadwork, which kicks off Oct. 6 with a two-night stand in Ft. Collins, CO, and wraps up with a Halloween performance in Indianapolis. Most shows on the first leg will are co-headlining performances with fellow jam-band Moe.

Details on which dates will feature which opening acts are included in the itinerary below.

Gov't Mule continues to back last year's "Deja Voodoo," the first studio album on which guitarist/singer Warren Haynes and drummer Matt Abts are backed by keyboardist Danny Louis and bassist Andy Hess. The set is also Gov't Mule's first since its "Deep End" series, which featured guest appearances from a long list of bassists who filled in after founding bassist Allen Woody died in August of 2000.

In May, Gov't Mule re-released "Deja Voodoo" bundled with a bonus EP that features newly recorded versions of "I'll be the One" and "Ballerina," which were captured "earlier this year during a rare day off," according to the band's website.

Fans who already purchased the original version of "Deja Voodoo" can use the disc for online access to the EP material. More information is available at Gov't Mule's website.
