Duncan Sheik extends tour into the fall

Singer/songwriter Duncan Sheik is in the midst of an extensive tour to preview material from his forthcoming album, "White Limousine," which is due out early next year.

Sheik's in-progress run continues with a show at Nashville's Belcourt Theater on Friday (9/2), and subsequent dates stretch into early November, according to his official website.

Sheik, who also produces records and scores movies, landed a hit with "Barely Breathing" in the mid-1990s.

David Poe holds down the opening slot for most of the tour's September stops, and shares opening duties with Sarah Bettens for the remainder of the run. Details are included in the itinerary below.

Bettens--best known for her work with K's Choice ("Not an Addict"), released her latest album, "Scream," Aug. 23. Songs from the set were featured on the Aug. 31 episode of the soap opera "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Poe, who is pushing the album "Love is Red," has formed an as-of-yet unnamed group with Sheik.
