In addition to scheduling more shows, the Stones have added more high-profile artists to their rotating roster of opening acts, which now includes Alanis Morissette, Motley Crue, Jason Mraz, Merle Haggard, Buddy Guy, Los Lonely Boys, 54-50, Toots and the Maytals, and Dan Akroyd and Jim Belushi's new covers outfit, The Have Love Will Travel Revue. Also joining the fray is Everclear, which has been added to the bill for the Stones' mid-November, two-night stand in San Francisco. As previously reported, those two shows will also feature Metallica.

Details on when each of the opening acts is scheduled to appear are included in the itinerary below.

Earlier this week, the Stones announced a batch of new shows that are scheduled to take place next January through March in Boston; St. Louis; Omaha, NE; Baltimore; N. Little Rock, AR; New York City; and Chicago. Tickets for the Boston, St. Louis, Omaha, Baltimore and N. Little Rock shows go on sale to the general public Saturday (8/27), while tickets for the New York and Chicago dates go on sale Aug. 29, according to the Stones' official website. Tickets will also hit the market Saturday (8/27) for a previously announced Nov. 18 stop in Las Vegas.

Tour sponsor Ameriquest and Internet portal Yahoo! on Wednesday (8/24) launched via Ticketmaster an online presale for eight of the recently announced stops. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.) Details are posted at Ameriquest's website. The site also features an exclusive preview of "Let Me Down Slow"--a cut off of the Stones' forthcoming album, "A Bigger Bang," due in stores Sept. 8--as well as video footage of the group performing the new song "Rough Justice" and classic hit "Shattered" during the tour's Sunday (8/21) kick-off in Boston.

During the group's Tuesday night performance in Boston, the Stones' setlist--which fluctuated from night to night during the band's 2002 tour--only varied by one song from the opening night offering, according to The Boston Globe, whose reviewer nonetheless described the performance as "phenomenal" and posited that the outing is "shaping up to be easily the best stadium tour by the Stones since 1988's 'Steel Wheels.'"

The Rolling Stones are expected to remain on the road for the next year in support of "A Bigger Bang." Earlier this month, the group released exclusively via Apple's iTunes Music Store three cuts from the new set: "Rough Justice," "Streets of Love" and "Back of My Hand."
