Canadian rockers Nickelback , currently at work on a new album, have lined up a brief stint of August and September concert dates.
Six cities are on the band's itinerary, which includes two-night stands in Victoria, British Columbia and Northern California.
The upcoming shows will give Nickelback drummer Daniel Adair, formerly of 3 Doors Down, a chance to get accustomed to his new band in a live setting. Adair recently replaced Ryan Vikedal, who departed early this year.
Nickelback has been in the studio for much of the year, pounding out the follow-up to 2003's triple-platinum "The Long Road." The new set, which will be the band's fifth album, is expected to hit stores later this year, but no release date has been announced.
"The Long Road" topped the Canadian album chart, and peaked at No. 6 on The Billboard 200 album chart in the U.S.
