Alison Krauss and her band, Union Station, have rolled out more dates for their ongoing tour behind last year's "Lonely Runs Both Ways."
The country/bluegrass outfit's itinerary now stretches into mid-August, and includes new stops throughout the western U.S. and Canada. Details are included below.
The tour is sponsored by Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, which last month began selling "Home on the Highways," a collection of previously released Alison Krauss & Union Station material. The disc--which also features "more than eight minutes of behind-the-scenes bonus video footage," according to a press release--is available exclusively at Cracker Barrel restaurants and via the company's website.
"Lonely Runs Both Ways," Krauss and company's most recent collection of new material, surfaced last November. The set features several band originals, as well as songs by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, John Scott Sherrill and Mindy Smith, Del McCoury, Woody Guthrie and others.
Last month, Krauss and country singer Brad Paisley picked up two trophies at the Academy of Country Music Awards for the song "Whiskey Lullaby," a duet featured on Paisley's album "Mud on the Tires." The pair scored wins in the Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year categories.
