Dates have begun to surface for Weezer 's North American tour behind its recently released album, "Make Believe."
Currently on the road in Europe, the group returns stateside in early July for a round of shows that begins with a July 2 performance in Las Vegas, part of an event that marks the city's 100th anniversary. Red Hot Chili Peppers share the bill.
A three-week stretch of subsequent shows is booked so far, comprising headlining dates, radio-station festivals, shows with the Pixies and a performance at the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago. Details are included below.
MTV plans to film the group's July 19 performance at Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL, for a concert special due to air on Aug. 3, according to Weezer's website.
Released in May, "Make Believe" debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 album chart, marking the group's highest-ever placing on that list. The set features the cut "Beverly Hills," the music video for which is streaming at Weezer's website.
