Briefly: Coldplay, The Strokes, 'Fantastic Four,' Tommy Lee

Coldplay 's "VH1 Storytellers" appearance, which was taped at New York City's BAM Harvey Theater last month, will premiere June 8 on the cable network.

According to a press release, the band plays new songs from their upcoming album, "X&Y" (due June 7), as well as some earlier tracks. The show also includes an interview segment and a Q&A with audience members.

New York City rockers The Strokes are wrapping up work on their third album, which could be in stores by January, the group's manager, Ryan Gentles, wrote in a recent email missive to fans.

The first single from the as-yet-untitled album could be released as soon as this fall, and a brief tour is in the works for late this year.

A July 5 release is planned for "Fantastic Four - The Album," the soundtrack to the upcoming motion picture "Fantastic Four," which opens nationwide July 8.

The soundtrack features tracks from Velvet Revolver , Joss Stone , Ben Moody featuring Anastasia, Taking Back Sunday, Simple Plan, Chingy, Ryan Cabrera and others.

The release of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee 's new solo album, "Tommyland: The Ride," has been pushed back a week to Aug. 9. His upcoming NBC-TV reality show, "Tommy Lee Goes to College," debuts Aug. 16.
