Alkaline Trio mounts summer tour behind new album

Alkaline Trio follows the imminent release of their new album, "Crimson," with a busy summer tour schedule.

The group launches a headlining run in mid-June, and dates are stacked up through the end of July. Also on tap is a Saturday (5/21) performance at Southern California radio station KROQ's annual Weenie Roast festival, and a June 10 set at Northern California's Live 105 BFD festival. The band's full itinerary is included below.

On Tuesday (5/24), Alkaline Trio delivers "Crimson," its follow-up to 2003's "Good Mourning." The group recorded the new set with producer Jerry Finn (Green Day, Blink-182).

Work on the album--which wrapped up in January--was delayed when singer/guitarist Matt Skiba fractured his wrist in a skateboarding accident. The frontman, who then avoided skateboarding during the recording process, broke his left arm 15 minutes after stepping back on a board once the album was finished, according to a press release.

The "Crimson" track "Time to Waste" is streaming at Alkaline Trio's website.
