
Elton John told a reporter for England's Daily Mirror that he plans to marry his partner of more than a decade, David Furnish, late this year or early in 2006.
Same-sex civil partnerships will become legal in England under a new law set to go into effect Dec 5.
"We definitely want to do it about the middle of December," John reportedly told the paper. "Meeting David has been the greatest thing to happen to me."
Rapper Kanye West premiered a new song titled "Diamonds" on New York hip-hop station Hot 97 last week. The track is the first single from the forthcoming album "Late Registration," due July 12.
American Head Charge plans to re-join Mudvayne's North American tour later this week, less than two weeks after guitarist Bryan Ottoson was found dead on the band's tour bus.
"It is our intention to honor his memory by rejoining Mudvayne, one of Bryan's favorite bands, on their current tour," the surviving band members said in a statement. "Words cannot convey the depth of our sadness, but we want our fans to be able to hear the music Bryan loved so much. He'd be pissed if we didn't continue on."
Brian Setzer will pay tribute to the songs of early rock greats including Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins on the upcoming album "Rockabilly Riot Vol. One--A Tribute to Sun Records," due July 26.
