The first handful of dates for the Noise to the World Tour--a run headed up by Good Charlotte and Simple Plan --have surfaced.
Five early May dates in Oklahoma and Missouri are confirmed, and online presales are now underway. Presale information is available at Good Charlotte's website, as well as at Simple Plan's website. The itinerary is included below.
"I think this tour is going to be great for our fans," Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden said in a statement. "From start to finish, it will have something for everyone and will be worth all these kids' hard earned money. That's what every tour should be, but sadly these days it's not, so us and Simple Plan are trying to give that to the kids."
"We are extremely happy to hit the road with our friends in Good Charlotte," Simple Plan drummer Chuck Comeau added." "We know fans of both bands have been waiting for this tour to happen for a very long time. They talked about it at shows, they send emails and post everywhere on the web and now it's finally happening. It will be an amazing tour and we intend to enjoy every second of it."
Good Charlotte is backing its October release, "The Chronicles of Life & Death," which features the cuts "Predictable," "I Just Wanna Live" and "We Believe. The set follows 2002's double-platinum "The Young and the Hopeless."
Simple Plan's sophomore album, "Still Not Getting Any ...," also surfaced last October. Produced by famed producer Bob Rock (Metallica), the set has spawned the hits "Welcome to My Life" and "Shut Up."
Relient K , the tour's lone support act, is touring behind its latest set, last November's "Mmhmm."
