Vans Warped Tour itinerary surfaces

Organizers of the 11th annual Vans Warped Tour , which will feature music from The Offspring, Thrice, My Chemical Romance, The Transplants, Something Corporate, MxPx, The Starting Line, Senses Fail and many others, have unveiled a 50-city itinerary for this summer's outing.

The three-month tour is set to launch June 18 in Columbus, OH, and will visit a mix of amphitheaters, fairgrounds, parks and arena parking lots.

In addition to music, the tour will feature its typical menu of exhibitions by stars from the skating and biking world, though specific participants haven't been announced.

Among the traveling festival's new attractions for 2005 will be the "Amateur Skate Jam," a daily contest during which pro-skaters will judge 20 local amateur skaters in each market who will compete for various levels of prize money. Skaters must register in advance at their local Vans store. More information is available at the tour's website.

At the site, fans can also cast their vote for which act they'd like to see play an additional 10 minutes when the tour touches down in the voters' respective markets. The sponsor-heavy tour's new feature is dubbed "Energizer Keeps the Music Going."

Returning attractions include "Reverse Day Care," an air-conditioned area where kids can drop off their parents.

The list of confirmed Warped Tour acts as of press time follows; the lineup will vary from market to market. Organizers haven't announced specific lineups for each show.
