Alt-rock purveyors Cake recently wrapped up a short European jaunt, and will finish the year with a series of North American dates.
The Sacramento, CA-based group--which is backing its recent release, "Pressure Chief"--is now set to tour through mid-December, playing a mix of large club shows and holiday-themed radio-station festivals.
"Pressure Chief" debuted in the Top 20 of The Billboard 200 album chart during its first week in stores, and has spawned the alternative-rock single "No Phone," the video for which is streaming at Cake's official website.
The group's setlist will include a mix of previously released material and cuts from "Pressure Chief," which landed in stores in October.
"We can't wait to hit the new material hard and play some of the well-oiled older favorites," trumpeter Vince DiFiore said in a press release.
"Pressure Chief" is the follow-up to 2001's "Comfort Eagle." The new set was recorded in a converted house in Sacramento, and is the first album for which the band didn't use a conventional recording studio.
