Singer/songwriter Joseph Arthur has embarked on a North American outing to back his fourth full-length album--and first for Vector Recordings--"Our Shadows Will Remain."
The tour launched earlier this month in New Orleans, the city in which Arthur completed the new album, which is the follow-up to 2002's "Redemption's Son."
To gain a fresh perspective, Arthur "put virtually all of his belongings into a storage unit in New York and headed for New Orleans, taking not much more than his clothes, his guitar, and rough demos of 10 or 12 new songs," according to a press release
Besides headlining dates at more than two-dozen clubs, Arthur is scheduled to open a handful of dates on R.E.M.'s North American tour. During his live performances, Arthur is known for looping samples on the spot as he creates them.
