Smooth jazz guitarist Peter White will be joined by trumpeter Rick Braun and saxophonist Mindi Abair on an 18-city holiday tour that launches Nov. 26 in San Diego.
Dubbed A Peter White Christmas, the outing--White's second holiday tour--will feature a mix of seasonal classics and original holiday songs, according to a press release. All three artists have previously released holiday CDs.
"As a child, my father taught me to play Christmas music on my first instrument, the recorder, and my love for holiday music has endured throughout the years," White said in a statement. "I hope this tour will be an opportunity for fans to enjoy their favorite Christmas songs in a family setting. Perhaps I'll even bring my recorder."
White is backing his ninth solo album, "Confidential," which hit stores in March. The album's first single, "Talkin' Bout Love," spent seven weeks at No. 1 on the smooth jazz charts; he has scored a dozen No. 1 singles over the last decade.
Braun is another mainstay on smooth jazz radio. He's issued 10 solo albums, including the new live collection "Sessions Volume 1."
Abair joined White on his inaugural Christmas tour, is supporting her recently issued sophomore album, "Come As You Are."
