Toby Keith's schedule still growing, best-of set due

Toby Keith continues to lay the groundwork for the release of his forthcoming best-of album by logging lots of miles on his tour bus.

The country singer, who has been on the road since July, recently expanded his itinerary to include new November stops in California and Arizona. Details are below.

According to organizers, Keith's trek has been drawing large crowds: 40,000-plus fans in the Boston area; 21,000 in Pittsburgh; 18,700 in Philadelphia; and 20,000 in Washington, DC.

Keith's next album, "Greatest Hits 2," is due in stores Nov. 9. Its first single, "Stays in Mexico," is already getting airplay on country radio stations. The singer's latest all-new album is 2002's "Shock 'N Y'all," which is certified triple-platinum in the U.S.

"Greatest Hits 2" features 11 tracks from previous Keith albums and three new tracks. Besides "Stays in Mexico," the new songs include a cover of the James Taylor/Carly Simon duet "Mockingbird" that features Keith's 16-year-old daughter Crystal, and "Go with Her."

In related news, Keith recently signed a deal with Harrah's Las Vegas to launch a new country-themed bar and restaurant, scheduled to open its doors next summer. According to a press release, "the restaurant will offer American casual food, and the bar/lounge will feature Keith music and videos, a special recording studio, private dining area, stage and dance floor for live country acts, and surprise personal appearances by Keith himself."
