Originally due to tour the U.S. on the bill of this year's Lollapalooza outing--which was canceled before it got off the ground--Morrissey will cross the pond this fall for a round of stateside concerts.
So far, the singer has penciled in three September stops--including a performance at Southern California radio station KROQ's annual Inland Invasion festival--and October performances in Philadelphia, New York City and Chicago. The Philly and Big Apple stops are both scheduled to be two-night stands.
Ticket on-sale dates are set for shows in Washington, DC; Philadelphia; New York; and Chicago. Details are shown below. An online pre-sale for tickets to the Washington, DC, show is set to take place on Friday (8/20); more information is posted at Morrissey's website.
More dates will be announced soon, according to the website.
Earlier this year, Morrissey played a series of club shows--including five-night runs in Los Angeles and New York City--to usher in his seventh studio album, "You Are the Quarry." Released in mid-May, the set includes the cut "Irish Blood, English Heart."
Morrissey issued "You Are the Quarry" on Attack Records, a former '70s-era reggae imprint that Sanctuary Records recently acquired.
"I've been a fan of the Attack label for quite some time," Morrissey said in a statement. "I have a Gregory Isaacs seven-inch on my refrigerator. I told Sanctuary that I wanted to re-launch the label and have 'You Are the Quarry' released on Attack and they agreed."
Morrissey will recruit and sign new talent to the label, according to a press release.
