Lenny Kravitz , who earlier this month announced plans to embark on a fall tour to support his latest album, "Baptism," has canceled the run due to unspecified "family matters."
"I was really looking forward to getting out there to meet and play for my fans," Kravitz said in a statement. "Unfortunately, things come up in life that you cannot control. I hope my fans will understand, and I will definitely make it up to them with these shows next year."
Kravitz had been scheduled to launch the 19-date outing--his first tour in over two years--on Sept. 11 in Atlantic City, NJ.
"Baptism" is Kravitz's seventh studio set, and follows 2002's "Lenny." The new album, which hit stores in May, features the cuts "Where Are We Runnin'," "Storm" (featuring Jay-Z and remixed by Just Blaze) and "California."
