Joe Satriani will spend much of what's left of this summer on the road with Deep Purple , but the guitar virtuoso will go it alone in the fall and winter.
Satriani, whose trek with Deep Purple kicks off on Aug. 13 and runs through early September, has lined up a round of headlining dates billed as "An Evening with Joe Satriani" that will feature a full concert from the guitarist, with no opening act.
The jaunt is currently broken into two segments, the first of which takes place in October, and the second of which features a handful of late-December dates and a New Year's Day show. Details are shown below.
Tickets for the October shows are hitting the box office throughout August. Specific on-sale dates are shown in the itinerary below. On-sale dates for the winter shows have not yet been announced.
In addition to tickets sold through traditional outlets, Satriani's website is offering two premium ticket packages. Package prices are set at $75 to $200, and the more expensive of the two entitles the buyer to a meet-and-greet with Satriani, as well as seats in the first three rows. More information is posted at the site.
Satriani is on the road in support of his ninth studio album, "Is There Love In Space?," which surfaced in April. The album is streaming in its entirety at a listening party page at Satriani's website. The site also features footage of Satriani and his backing band--Matt Bissonette (bass) and Jeff Campitelli (drums)--rehearsing for the tour.
