A Baton Rouge, LA, grand jury has indicted C-Murder [ tickets ]--whose real name is Corey Miller-- on attempted second-degree murder charges for allegedly firing a shot at a club owner in 2001.

Miller's conviction on a separate, unrelated murder charge in Jefferson Parish, LA, was thrown out last year, but the rapper remains held without bail pending the new trial. He has been jailed since January 2002.

Ja Rule [ tickets ] turned himself in to police on Monday morning (7/26) on an assault charge that stemmed a June 5 stabbing at a Toronto nightclub, according to Toronto police.

The rapper, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, was released after posting $10,000 bail, and is due back in court on Aug. 30.

Charlie Zaa [ tickets ], a 30-year-old Columbian bolero performer who often plays in the U.S., reportedly underwent surgery in Bogota on Friday (7/23) for treatment of an undisclosed kidney problem.
