Briefly: Lloyd Banks, Syreeta Wright, The Doors, Morrissey

"The Hunger for More," the solo debut from rapper Lloyd Banks , tops the U.S. album chart this week with sales of nearly 435,000 copies.

Usher's "Confessions" holds steady at No. 2 on The Billboard 200, while Brandy's "Afrodisiac" enters the chart at No. 3. Last week's top-selling album, Jadakiss' "Kiss of Death," falls to No. 4, according to Billboard.

Rounding out the Top 5 is rapper Lil' Wayne's fourth release, "Tha Carter."

Vocalist Syreeta Wright, best known her duet with Billy Preston on the 1981 hit "With You I'm Born Again," died on Monday night (7/5). She was 58, and succumbed after a lengthy battle with cancer, according to published reports.

The concert film "The Doors live in Europe 1968" will be issued on DVD via Eagle Rock Entertainment on July 27.

The DVD--narrated by Paul Kantner and Grace Slick of Jefferson Airplane (which shared the bill with The Doors on the tour)--has been remastered in 5.1 DTS Digital Surround Sound.

Morrissey 's sold-out July 17 performance at House of Blues in Chicago will likely be his only US show this summer, according to his publicist. The ex-Smiths singer had been scheduled to appear on this summer's canceled Lollapalooza tour.
