Hilary Duff juggles touring, recording and acting

Teen star Hilary Duff gets busy this summer with a lengthy round of tour dates, numerous television appearances, studio sessions for a new album, and a turn on the big screen.

Duff's roadwork begins with a July 20 show in Worcester, MA, and is scheduled to wrap up on Sept. 9 in Portland, OR. So far, the run is due to touch down in 34 cities.

The outing is part of Duff's continued support for her debut solo album, last year's "Metamorphosis." The set, which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart, has been certified triple platinum, according to her publicist.

Backing Duff on the road are guitarists Ty Stevens and Jason Cook, drummer Shauney Baby, bassist Kayle Truman, keyboardist Loren Gold, and triplets Abbey, Baili and Rachel Sibuacao on backing vocals.

Before launching the tour, Duff will give a July 16 performance in New York City's Bryant Park as part of the "Good Morning America" summer concert series, which takes place on Fridays. The day before, she'll be an in-studio guest on the program, but won't be performing.

Other television appearances include a July 8 spot on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," July 14 on "Late Show with David Letterman," and July 15 on "Live with Regis and Kelly" and MTV's "TRL."

Moviegoers can catch Duff on the silver screen beginning July 16, when "A Cinderella Story" arrives in theaters nationwide. The film's soundtrack hits stores on July 13, and features four new songs from Duff, including the lead-off single, a cover of The Go-Go's "Our Lips Are Sealed." The cut is currently a Top 40 hit, and its companion music video was among the top-10 clips on MTV's "TRL" for the week ending June 4.

Duff is currently working on her follow-up to "Metamorphosis"; the as-yet-untitled album is scheduled for release on Sept. 28.
