Jessica Simpson fleshes out headlining tour itinerary
Jessica Simpson , who stays busy this month with performances at a number of radio-station festivals, has nailed down a slew of new dates for her subsequent headlining run.
Due to launch in New Orleans on June 4, Simpson's headlining jaunt now stretches into early August. The outing follows her appearances at five festivals this month, including a May 22 event in the Boston area. That same day, she'll headline a skin-cancer benefit in New York City's Central Park, tickets for which are on sale now via Ticketmaster. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
Ticketmaster is also holding a charity auction for tickets to the May 22 benefit. Details are posted at the auction's webpage.
Members of Simpson's just-launched fan club will have access to ticket pre-sales and exclusive ticket packages, according to the fan club's website.
Simpson is hitting the road behind last year's "In This Skin." An expanded version of the set surfaced in March, and features all of the original album's tracks, plus Simpson's covers of Berlin's "Take My Breath Way" and Robbie Williams' "Angels," as well as an acoustic version of her single "Without You."
Bundled with the new version of the album is a DVD that features scenes from the first season of Simpson's MTV reality-series "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," as well as footage from the couple's wedding.
