Kid Rock hammers out more tour dates

Detroit rocker Kid Rock continues to add shows to his ongoing tour in support of his self-titled, 2003 album.

The latest batch of dates to surface stretches the run into early June. Ticket pre-sales for a number of the new May and June shows take place beginning Thursday (4/1). The pre-sales are open to "premier" members of Rock's official fan club, according to his website. More information is posted at the site.

Rock's new album, which is the follow-up to 2001's "Cocky," hit stores last November, and features a cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love." The song's music video is streaming at Rock's website.

Backing Rock on the new album and on tour is his longtime band, Twisted Brown Trucker: guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David McMurray, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow all make guest appearances on the set.

Earlier this month, Rock appeared at the annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City, where he inducted fellow Detroit-area native Bob Seger.
