Kid Rock fills more blanks in tour schedule

Kid Rock 's in-progress tour behind his latest, self-titled album, will continue rolling well into the spring, thanks to a new batch of shows.

Rock has extended his itinerary into late April. Tickets for most shows are on sale now.

Premiere members of Rock's fan club have access to an online ticket pre-sale that begins on Thurday at 5 p.m. Eastern Time; the club is offering tickets to Rock's April stops in Albuquerque, Bakersfield, Sacramento and San Jose. More information is available at Rock's website.

The Detroit-based rocker, who earlier this year launched the run with a two-night stand in Saginaw, MI--returns to his home turf later this month for back-to-back shows in Auburn Hills and a one-off date at Detroit's Cobo Arena.

Rock's new album, which is the follow-up to 2001's "Cocky," hit stores last November, and features a cover of Bad Company's "Feel Like Makin' Love." The song's music video is streaming at Rock's website.

Backing rock on the new album and on tour is his longtime band, Twisted Brown Trucker: guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David McMurray, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow all make guest appearances on the set.
