Sting, Annie Lennox join forces for major summer tour

Sting and Annie Lennox will pair up to tour North American amphitheaters and arenas this summer, visiting well over 40 cities between late June and mid-October.

Sting is currently touring the North American theater circuit behind his latest album, "Sacred Love." The outing opened in late January, and dates are set through mid-March.

"Sacred Love," Sting's 10th album, arrived in stores last September. The collection, which is the follow-up to 1999's "Brand New Day," features guest appearances from Vincente Amigo, Anoushaka Shankar and Mary J. Blige.

Lennox, who came to stardom as a member of Eurythmics, won Oscar and Golden Globe awards this year for "Into the West," a song from the film "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King." Her latest album, last year's "Bare," also picked up a Grammy nomination. "Bare" marked Lennox's first collection of self-penned solo material in more than a decade.

According to a press release, American Express cardholders will be able to purchase tickets before the public on-sale in each city. More information is available at the American Express website.

Members of Sting's official fan club can also buy tickets before the public on-sale; details are available at Sting's website.
