P.O.D. lays out plans for North American headlining tour

P.O.D., which this weekend wraps up its stint on the road with Linkin Park , heads back out in May for a headlining theater run.

The group kicks things off in Denver on May 1, and dates so far are set through mid-June. More shows are expected; last week, the band announced plans to hit a total of 40 cities.

Registered members of the band's mailing list have access to tickets before the general public via online pre-sales, and also have a crack at meet-and-greet passes. Details are posted at the band's website.

The tour will feature show openers Hazen Street and Lacuna Coil.

P.O.D. released its latest set, "Payable on Death," in November. The album, which is the follow-up to 2002's "Satellite," features the cut "Change the World." The song's music video made its debut on MTV's "TRL" earlier this month.
