Mary J. Blige supports 'Love & Life' with U.S. theater outing

Mary J. Blige , who hasn't toured in almost two years, returns to the road this spring for a run on the U.S. theater circuit.

Blige kicks off the jaunt in Miami on April 11, and wraps up with a two-night stand in the Los Angeles area on May 8 and 9. Back-to-back shows are also planned in Detroit, New York, Oakland, the Philadelphia area and Washington, DC.

Soul singer Musiq will hold down the tour's opening slot.

The tour is Blige's first since her early-2002 support of 2001's "No More Drama."

"Love & Life," Blige's follow-up to "No More Drama," landed in stores last August. The new album includes the cut "Not Today," which features rapper Eve. The third "Love & Life" single to hit radio, the song is also featured on the "Barbershop II" soundtrack.

Blige's website houses a streaming version of the "Not Today" video, which also features rapper Eve and comedian Cedric the Entertainer, who has a role in "Barbershop II."
