Ozzy, Judas Priest, Slayer, Slipknot on board for this year's Ozzfest

Organizers have unveiled the details of the ninth-annual Ozzfest tour, which will once again feature its weathered namesake, Ozzy Osbourne , in the headlining slot.

Joining Osbourne on the festival's main stage will be fellow metal vets Judas Priest , whose lineup will feature original frontman Rob Halford for the first time in over a decade. The main-stage roster also includes Slayer , Dimmu Borgir, Black Label Society (which Osbourne's guitarist, Zakk Wylde, heads up) and Superjoint Ritual (featuring Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo).

Slipknot tops the second-stage roster, which also includes Hatebreed, Lamb of God, Atreyu, Bleeding Through, Lacuna Coil, Every Time I Die and Unearth.

More acts will be announced, according to a press release.

Ozzfest founder--and Osbourne's wife/manager--Sharon Osbourne said in a statement that fans will have a full day to look forward to when the tour touches down in their city.

"The music starts at 9:30 a.m. and doesn't stop until Ozzy leaves the stage at 11:00 p.m.," she said. "What they get is 20-plus bands, 13 and a half hours of non-stop music on two stages, and enough rock insanity to last them until the next year for about the same amount they'd pay to get into [Six Flags] Magic Mountain [amusement park]. And seeing Ozzy onstage is a better ride than any f---ing rollercoaster."

Ozzfest kicks off in Hartford, CT, on July 10, and runs until early September. Details appear in the itinerary below.

Ticket prices will range from $10-$65; on-sale information was not available at press time. Since its inaugural run in 1996, Ozzfest has grossed about $146.5 million from 236 shows that have drawn 3.8 million concertgoers, according to Billboard.

This year's Ozzfest production will require 20 trucks, 40 buses and 525 crew members, according to promoter Clear Channel Entertainment.
