Kweller's new release, titled "On My Way," was produced by Ethan Johns (Ryan Adams, Kings of Leon). According to ATO Records, Kweller and his bandmates--in order to give the album a raw, impromptu feel--recorded all of the tracks together in one room, playing without headphones "to ensure that each member could hear and react to the whole sound being produced in the room, instead of focusing on what each individual had in his headphones."

"On My Way" is the follow-up to Kweller's 2002 solo-debut, "Sha Sha." The vocalist/guitarist first became widely known as the frontman of Radish when he was just 16 years old. The band--hyped as the next Nirvana--signed to Mercury Records after a frenzied bidding war amongst major labels, but its 1997 debut, "Restraining Bolt," didn't strike a nerve with the public or with critics. The band never released a follow-up album, and broke up by the end of the decade.

Death Cab for Cutie continues to support its most-recent album, "Transatlanticism," which hit stores in early October. The set, which is the follow-up to 2001's "The Photo Album," includes the tracks "The New Year" and "Title and Registration." Both songs are available as free MP3 downloads from Barsuk Records' website.
