Montgomery Gentry saddles up for 2004 tour

Country duo Montgomery Gentry has already plotted much of its itinerary for 2004, and is ready to launch the outing in early February.

As is typical for the hard-touring act, the group will focus its 2004 efforts on a mix of fairs, festivals, rodeos, theaters and auditoriums. In July, however, the duo will play a series of shows at military bases for an outing dubbed The Miller Lite Army Tour.

The latest album from Troy Lee Gentry and Eddie Montgomery, 2002's "My Town," has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping more than 500,000 copies. The group made its debut with 1999's "Tattoo's & Scars," and followed it up two years later with the million-seller "Carrying On."

The Lexington, Kentucky-based duo was Radio and Records' Country Duo of the Year in 1999 and 2000, and won the 2000 CMA Award for Duo of the Year.
