Tickets for Sting 's upcoming Sacred Love Tour sold out in a matter of hours last week, prompting promoters to add second shows in Los Angeles and Oakland, CA, as well as a fourth and final show in New York.
According to Clear Channel Entertainment, even the just-added appearances have sold out. In all, 27 shows have sold out in 21 cities.
Promoters have also announced the addition of two new cities to the itinerary: Feb. 14 at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix and March 23 at the Corel Centre in Ottawa, Ontario. Tickets for the Phoenix show go on sale to the general public on Dec. 6, and tickets for the Ottawa date hit the market on Saturday (11/29). Pre-sales are scheduled for American Express cardholders and Sting's fan-club members; details are available at Sting's official website.
Sting will be touring the U.S. theater circuit behind his latest album, "Sacred Love." The outing opens in late January, and dates so far run through mid-March.
"Sacred Love," Sting's 10th album, arrived in stores in late September. The collection, which is the follow-up to 1999's "Brand New Day," features guest appearances from Vincente Amigo, Anoushaka Shankar and Mary J. Blige.
