Briefly: Simon & Garfunkel, Arthur Conley, The Black Keys, The Strokes, George Strait

Simon & Garfunkel , who are currently on their first major tour in 20 years, postponed their second consecutive concert due to illness on Friday (11/14).

The duo, which previously postponed its Wednesday (11/12) appearance in Sacramento, CA, until Nov. 20 because Art Garfunkel had a throat infection, later postponed its Friday (11/14) show at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, CA, because Paul Simon was suffering from a cold. The Anaheim show has been rescheduled to Nov. 23, according to promoters.

On Saturday (11/15), the duo performed as scheduled in San Diego.

The Black Keys have postponed a planned European tour, in part because singer/guitarist Dan Auerbach fractured some toes.

Wrote Auerbach in a diary entry on the band's official website: "Not only were we exhausted and way too stressed after this insane year of non-stop touring, but little s--- like missing planes and fracturing toes added to our decision to take a break. As for the toes, I was at a motel unloading my bags out of the van in the middle of the night during our recent U.S. tour and the fire extinguisher rolled out of the door and dropped right on my foot."

After completing a round of European dates in December, The Strokes will return to the U.S. to play a New Year's Eve show at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas. The group heads to Australia and New Zealand in January.

According to a press release, Cornell is a trucker that lead characters Hank and Bobby Hill meet while on a road trip in their rented 18-wheeler.

The episode airs on Dec. 14.
