Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks crawl the West in December

Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks wrap up their touring year with a short series of West Coast club dates as they continue to back their March release, "Pig Lib."

Indie-rockers The Pernice Brothers, who are supporting their May release, "Yours, Mine & Ours," support on all of the upcoming dates, which run Dec. 1-6.

Portland-based Malkmus and band have covered a lot of ground this year. They opened their support of "Pig Lib" in April with a two-week European tour, and followed with a month-long North American tour. In August, they supported Radiohead on a portion of that group's North American tour before embarking on a second European tour in October.

"Pig Lib" is Malkmus' second album since the 1999 break-up of Pavement, the much-lauded indie-rock band that he fronted through most of the '90s.

The main "Pig Lib" disc features 11 new tracks, and a second bonus disc includes three additional studio recordings and two live tracks.
