Mexican alt-rockers Molotov [ tickets ] dominated the second annual MTV Video Music Awards Latin America on Thursday (10/23), picking up four awards. The ceremony, which took place in Miami, airs on MTV in the U.S. on Nov. 1.

Courtney Love [ tickets ] is embroiled in a court battle for custody of her 11-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, People magazine reports.

Frances, the daughter of Love and the late Kurt Cobain, reportedly was placed in the custody of Wendy O'Connor--Cobain's mother--after Love was arrested in October on drug charges.

Love reportedly was ordered in a Tuesday (10/21) court appearance to move out of her home so that Frances and her nanny could live there under the supervision of Love's stepfather and an aunt.

Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers will be presented with a Legend Award at the upcoming Radio Music Awards. The ceremony, which airs live on NBC-TV, takes place in Las Vegas on Monday (10/27).

Elvis Presley [ tickets ], with an estimated 2003 income of $40 million, tops Forbes.com's third annual list of top-earning dead celebrities. Other musicians in the Top 10 are John Lennon (No. 4, with $19 million of income), George Harrison (No. 5, $16 million), Tupac Shakur (No. 8, $12 million) and Bob Marley (No. 9, $9 million).
